Over the past 22 years, Su Zhou, a veteran photographer, has led groups of professional and amateur photographers on photo expeditions across China to explore with cameras the beautiful and unexpectedly untrammeled and fascinating unspoiled places hidden away in that vast country.
Their experiences have included using jeeps to explore the huge sand dunes in Inner Mongolia’s desert, capturing the magnificent rice terraces splashing the landscape with a riot of colors in Yunnan province, watching fishermen working with their cormorants and oil lamps on bamboo rafts at sunset and sunrise in Guangxi province and experiencing the unforgettable tiny walkthrough marbled corridor of waterfalls, caves and ancient temples in Sichuan’s Huanglong Valley.
Her photo expeditions have looked in as well on China’s minority tribes in villages of the Zhuang, the Yao, Ttibetan and other peoples. They have cuddled the cubs at panda breeding centers and collected pictures in China’s huge free-roaming Tiger Park. All have come home with a new knowledge and understanding of that remote and changing land.

She has escorted private groups as well. All who have travelled with her have come home with a new knowledge and understanding of that remote and changing land.

Beside China, Su and her expeditionary groups have visited Africa, such as Tanzanian, and Namibia.
